The AquaMotion AMK-ODR2 is an under-sink bypass valve kit designed for single-pipe hot water recirculation systems. Installed at the fixture farthest from the water heater, the valve provides a controlled pathway for cooled water in the hot-water line to return to the water heater through the cold-water supply line.
When the recirculation pump operates, the valve allows cooled water to bypass from the hot-water line into the cold-water line. As hot water reaches the valve, it automatically restricts the bypass flow and regulates the system to approximately 95°F at the fixture.
The AMK-ODR2 provides a simple way to achieve faster hot water delivery without installing a dedicated return line and operates in conjunction with a compatible AquaMotion circulator and timer or on-demand control.
